HEALING OR HURTING?
Why does one person cry out in pain while another brutally acts out on a fellow human being?
Why does one person heal, while another harms self or others?
The difference between healing and hurting is identification with the victim or identification with the perpetrator.
IDENTIFYING WITH THE PERPETRATOR
The foundation of thoughts and actions of a person has been laid in childhood. Parental and environmental belief systems and behavior are internalized and installed. Internalization and installation, often deeply ingrained, inevitably impact the child’s future.
After seven years of working within the Dutch criminal justice system and questioning hundreds of hardcore criminals I wondered why each convict categorically repeated his childhood abuse. Instead of growing up, daring to enter discomfort, dealing with childhood pain and rage, and becoming a fully developed person in his own right, the tormented child entered a cycle of acting out childhood emotions in the external world.
The convict identified with the perpetrator, became a perpetrator, and did to the other(s) what had been done to him. The acting out inevitably contributed to a merry-go-round of human sacrifice in families and nations.
THE GROOMED BOY
Jewish-American hedge fund trader and founder of the Open Society Foundations George Soros was born György Schwartz, August 12, 1930, in Budapest, Hungary.
Soros started his career as a fourteen year old boy during World War II. He was groomed to assist Nazi criminals with the confiscation of property owned by Jews. Soros has publicly stated that this experience was not difficult and did not generate guilt towards fellow Jews. He has also stated that the war years were the most exciting years of his life.
Why the absence of guilt? Why the exhilaration? Soros identified with the perpetrator to avoid the anxiety of feeling impotent in the face of an enemy. He never worked through his boyhood trauma. To this day he works for lawless royal and aristocratic bloodlines and brings great damage wherever his money goes.
Behind the scenes Soros has financed a whole host of color revolutions and violent overthrows of democratic governments all over the world. Over time many people have come to see him for who he is. There are countries who no longer allow him to enter. When they discovered that Soros had infested the American justice system with a ten-year-long wave of subversive district attorneys, Americans began fighting back.
San Francisco’s 29th district attorney Chesa Boudin allowed organized criminal syndicates to operate openly in several neighborhoods and was, in general, responsible for a huge spike in crime all through the city. Boudin’s background was troublesome to say the least. He was born and bred in a milieu of domestic terrorism. His parents had been sentenced to 20 years to life (mother) and 75 years to life (father) for the murders of two police officers and a security guard. His substitute parents had been responsible for the bombing of the U.S. Capitol, Pentagon, and several police stations in New York City. The district attorney had a huge chip on his shoulder. This made him the ideal candidate for the Soros brand of subversion. He was groomed and installed to attack, weaken, and ruin American society from within.
The move backfired in 2022. Chesa Boudin was kicked out with a majority recall vote.
THE NASTY GIRL AND NASTY FRIENDS
Madeleine Albright was born Marie Jana Korbelová in Czechoslovakia. The family had to flee their home twice during World War II. They moved to the United States in 1948.
As Secretary of State under William J. Clinton (1997 to 2001) Albright defended the use of force on innocent citizens and devastating UN sanctions against Iraq. In a 60 Minutes interview Albright was asked: ”We have heard that half a million (Iraqi) children have died. That is more children than died in Hiroshima. Is the price worth it?” She replied without a hint of unease; "We think the price is worth it.” Soon thereafter she was promoted from United Nations Ambassador to Secretary of State. The woman who posed as a voice for democracy was, in fact, a warmonger. The 1999 war in Kosovo was called "Madeleine's war.”
Madeleine Albright identified with the perpetrator and merely repeated what had been done to her family and fellow Europeans in World War II. So did the friends who attended her 2022 funeral. They used the funeral to try to bury Albright’s legacy of deceit and mass sacrifice. They called her “a champion of freedom.”
People who equate mass murder with democracy and freedom are criminal and insane. They expose willful, psychotic features defined as gross impairment in reality testing. A psychotic person makes improper evaluations of the accuracy of his or her thoughts and perceptions and continues to make these errors in the face of contrary evidence. Classic features include delusions, denial, grandiloquent and upside-down presentation, and assassination of a perceived enemy (character assassination and premeditated murder). The features are used in the service of keeping the self-image clean and perfect and legitimizing unwarranted power and abuse.
Albright and friends did not have the strength and courage to work through childhood trauma. Condoning their criminal and insane behavior will merely generate yet another cycle of doom and death at home and abroad.
QUESTIONABLE ETHICS IN HEALING PROFESSIONS, PAST AND PRESENT
Psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud admonished the world to make the unconscious conscious. He famously warned us about repetition-compulsion, the tendency to repeat childhood trauma in adult life. He also famously moved from identifying with the victim to identifying with the perpetrator when he replaced his original theory on the origin of adult neurosis with a white- washed version. Freud initially pointed the finger at lecherous fathers. Since everyone knew that Freud mainly catered to the higher classes, his colleagues and society at large were scandalized.
After 1903 Freud announced a revision of his theory. He declared that incest was merely a fantasy, a wish, an unfulfilled desire. With that he paved the way for blaming the victim, the cynical invention of the so-called false memory syndrome, and systemic denial of the reality of childhood trauma within the Catholic Church.
Psychoanalyst Erich Fromm criticized Freudian theory, in particular in his 1970 book The Crisis of Psychoanalysis. Fromm was keen to include social and ethical dimensions in his works. He stressed the difference between to have and to be. I will come back to this when I address reptilian character a little further on.
Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson, a Harvard graduate who also studied at the École Normale Supérieure de Paris and the Universities of Calcutta, Poona, and Toronto, added to Fromm’s criticism. Masson had been invited to work into the inner sanctum of psychoanalysis, the Sigmund Freud Archives. This allowed him to do meticulous research. Besides many other documents, Masson read the entire 1887-1904 correspondence between Sigmund Freud and physician Wilhelm Fliess, including letters formerly omitted by Freud’s daughter Anna. In the end (1984) Mason concluded that we will probably never know the true reasons of Freud’s altered opinion and believed that Freud lost his moral courage. 1
Like many 21st century professional organizations, a group of North American Imago relationship therapists fell hook, line, and sinker for a centuries old psychological operation that uses ethnic, religious, or ideological differences to break up a strong, united population; divide and conquer. Their explanation for a phantom pandemic, a premeditated shutdown of the economy, and ongoing massacres was racism. A spokesperson seemed caught up in echo-chambers of politics, perception, and social engineering, yet declared with certainty: “all of this links to systemic racism.” The connection was unproven and misleading.
The ongoing fight for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion is absolutely necessary. However, the group did not offer a racial justice education course to those who traumatized the people. They offered the course to colleagues who were traumatized like everyone else. The root cause of systematic traumatization of an entire world population went unrecognized. One could make a case for abetting the perpetrator through omission.
Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, professor of psychiatry and founder and director of the Trauma Center in Brookline, Massachusetts, explains that denial of consequences of trauma can wreak havoc with the social fabric of society. The refusal to acknowledge the damage caused by World War I played an important role in the rise of fascism and militarism in the world in the 1930s. German society dealt ruthlessly with its own traumatized war veterans who were treated as inferior creatures. This set the stage for the moral justification of the strong to vanquish the inferior. 2
The 1933 division in Lebenswertes Leben (life worth living) and Lebensunwertes Leben (life not worth living) was used as another step on the road to German fascism. Most members of the German healthcare system stayed silent. With that they endorsed the next step: persecution of Jewish people, gypsies, and the mentally ill. Soon the regime added unspeakable medical experiments in slave labor concentration camps (supervised by the pharmaceutical company I.G. Farben-Bayer) and war against all people of Europe.
In 2020 the division was called essential en non-essential. Those who did not roll up their sleeves for global medical experiments were demonized. The end-game was same old fascism, this time global and digital. Fat cat big pharma executives and fat cat WHO and national health bureaucrats roared with laughter when scores of people fell for the fabricated pandemic. Like I.G. Farben-Bayer they used the population as lab rats and made billion-dollar profits. Like the German perpetrators they did not care how many people got injured or died.
Hospital administrators dictated questionable treatment protocols in exchange for kickbacks. Physicians abandoned common sense and professional oaths and complied without the slightest resistance. Fatal protocols replaced the human immune-system and fast-working and life saving medications. Nurses suffered in silence. Medical societies and medical boards stayed silent altogether. Hospitals and care homes became death traps.
As always the experiment backfired and the veil was lifted. People all over the world developed healthy mistrust and began to understand that the size, promotion, position, or power of an institution does not necessary represent truth or concern. Whistleblowers exposed leaders of the lie and groups came together to organize research and resistance. One of these organizations is Children’s Health Defense founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
BLAMING INNOCENT CHILDREN
Like Sigmund Freud, Barbara Walters showed unmitigated self-interest during an interview with child actor Corey Feldman on the program The View (2013). When Corey, now adult, dared to speak up about childhood sexual abuse suffered at the hand of Hollywood “professionals” she was outraged. Walters chastised Corey with “you are damaging an entire industry” (see Youtube). The wires in Walters’ brain were clearly crossed since Corey Feldman was the one who had been damaged as were many other child actors.
Walters identified with the perpetrator. She blamed the innocent child victim and showed zero empathy for his childhood suffering. Identification with the perpetrator and blaming the victim became systemic in the television program The View.
REPTILIAN CHARACTER
A majority of people who identify with the perpetrator are of reptilian character. This does not mean that they are descendants of Anunnaki, known to shape-shift, or commune with off planet beings (see the article They want to own the Earth). It means that they tend to operate from the part of the brain that is located in the brainstem, just above the spot where our spinal cord enters the skull. This most primitive part of the brain is called the old brain or the reptilian brain. The old brain or reptilian brain detects danger and ensures the most basic functions: survival, internal balance, and reproduction. The old brain acts immediately. It acts out immediately too.
Those who act out override will and reason and reject feeling, thinking, or talking things through. Acting out is a most primitive way of being since feelings and motives do not become conscious. It inevitably becomes repetitive and results in hard-to-break habits.
Reptilian character has the need to have and to hoard. This makes for categorizing, manipulation, and the need for total, effective control from the top down. Reptilian character is impaired in the capacity for morality, empathy, shame, creativity, and imagination. It reveals itself through obsessive-compulsive, same old stuck in a rut habits. It contributes to a merry-go round of human sacrifice in families and nations.
Families, groups, organizations, and nations are divided along the line of siding with the perpetrator or siding with the victim. This split can be healed once the majority of humanity dares to face childhood trauma. Honoring truth in the family and the nation is a vital prerequisite; you can’t recover until you know what you are recovering from.
IDENTIFYING WITH THE VICTIM
People who identify with the victim choose to rely on the more evolved parts of the brain. They are into living and being. They are capable of becoming mature or aware and prefer reciprocal relations. They have the fortitude to work on personal healing and contribute to breaking the merry-go-round of wounding in families and nations.
MY BROTHER’S KEEPER
Author Richard Rhodes wrote the penetrating memoir A Hole in the World: An American Boyhood. Rhodes lost his mother to suicide when he was thirteen months old. For some years he lived with his father and older brother Stanley in boarding houses. When Richard was ten years old father remarried. The boys’ stepmother was a cruel, self-serving woman who beat and starved the children and used them as slave laborers. Father allowed for the abuse.
One very bad day, thirteen-year-old Stanley had enough and walked into the local police station. He insisted that his brother Richard was removed from the family. The brothers were fortunate enough to meet with institutional understanding and empathy. They were taken in by the Andrew Drumm Institute for boys in Independence, Missouri. Both boys graduated from high school and Richard received a full scholarship to Yale University.
Stanley identified with the victim and both brothers were able to rise above their childhood. Richard Rhodes wrote the timely book The Making of the Atomic Bomb and about two dozen other treasures.
The United States government paid lip service to The Making of the Atomic Bomb and chose to add outrageous danger to the nuclear threat.
“In 2016, the United States committed to arming Ukraine to fight and win a war against Russia [the war became operational in 2022]. Subsequently, the US Department of Defense organized a biological research program in Ukraine, and then huge amounts of nuclear fuel were secretly transferred to the country. These data change the interpretation of this war: it was not wanted and prepared by Moscow, but by Washington.
These military experiments, whatever they were, were indirectly commissioned by the National Medical Intelligence Center through the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the US company Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP). The latter was founded by Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz, respectively son of President Joe Biden and son-in-law of John Kerry. All the results of this research have been sent to the military biological laboratories at Fort Detrick, which once played a leading role in the US biological weapons program.” 3
Poking the Russian bear and refusing to engage in a peace process to cover up crimes is an incredibly stupid and monstrous thing to do and many American and European citizens knew it. Stanley and Richard Rhodes and the town of Independence, Missouri show us how it is done.
TWO WAR CHILDREN DESTINED TO MEET FOR PEACE
Avant-garde performance artist Yoko Ono was born in 1933 in a distinguished Japanese family. Throughout her childhood she lived in Japan and the United States.
During the fire-bombing of Tokyo by the United States Army Air Force in 1944 and 1945 the Ono family was forced to seek shelter in a bunker. Father had been taken prisoner of war and was not heard of for the duration of a very distressing year. Mother decided to send the children to the country were they were bullied and had to barter for something to eat. Ono taught herself and her brother to survive through imagining elaborate meals when they were hungry.
Musician John Lennon was born in 1940 in Liverpool, England, a country that would soon be blacked out and heavily rationed. The Japanese war child and the British war child were destined to meet in London when Lennon was part of the world-famous group The Beatles. They were married in Gibraltar, kicked a heroine habit, overcame relational problems, and made beautiful music and a beautiful boy named Sean.
Yoko Ono and John Lennon identified with the victim. They became clever, outspoken, world famous peace activists during the decades of the Vietnam War. The power structure of the United States was so threatened by messages like Give Peace a Change, Power to the People, or War is Over if You Want It that three letter “security” agencies arranged for Lennon’s murder in the archway of the Dakota, his residence on New York City’s Upper West Side. It was 1980, son Sean was five years old, Lennon’s son Julian was seventeen years old.
I past the Dakota archway year after year on the way to my psychotherapy private practice in the San Remo building, two blocks north of the Dakota building. I always wondered why the Strawberry Fields Imagine Memorial mosaic in Central Park close to the Dakota was riddled with prominent black and white Masonic squares. Be it as it may said squares will never be as potent as the light and genius of John Lennon.
